All the furniture is made by hand in the Netherlands with materials from The Netherlands. Hereby we make sure the quality is good, we use sustainable materials and our footprint is as small as possible. By selecting the product in the webshop, information about the shipment is provided. DESIGNED WITH DANCERS
The furniture collection is inspired by adding movement to the work environment. In 2013 Govert Flint participated with a dancing company to observe how their movements make them feel certain emotions. The design process is explained with the TEDx talk.
NEUROSCIENCE BASED DESIGN
In 2015, Govert Flint went with a group of designers to University of Cambridge. Professor neurobiology Jenny Morton provided us a study trip to learn more about Environmental Enrichment and understand how to apply our prototypes into furniture design at work. We tested our designs to understand the intensity of stimulation our products should provide for what working activity. There, the foundation of the furniture collection was made for the Enriched Office at Schiphol.
VISION
Enrichers' products are designed to make you feel happier. Sitting longer than 3 hours harms the health. By average people with an office job sit 11,4 hours a day including time spend during leisure time. When you move less than 30 minutes a day, you are 49% more likely to die from an unnatural death. The active furniture is not only contributing to your health, but full body movements also stimulate endorphin production making you feel happier.
